REDRAFT REAPER — COMPARISON
Redraft Reaper vs. Traditional Playoff Fantasy Football
Traditional fantasy football means drafting once, managing that team, and competing over a long stretch. Many playoff fantasy games are built the same way in miniature: you pick your players before the playoffs start and live with them. Redraft Reaper is built differently on purpose.
Traditional Playoff Fantasy: Pick Once
In a common playoff format, you build your roster once before the playoffs begin and keep it as teams get eliminated. Much of the strategy comes down to which teams you think will go deepest, and players on eliminated teams simply stop scoring.
Other formats let you swap in new picks between rounds. Redraft Reaper takes that idea further: every manager drafts a full new roster, in a live draft, from a pool that only contains teams still alive.
Redraft Reaper: A New Team Every Round
Drafting again before every round changes how the playoffs play out:
- No dead roster spots. Every player you draft in a round is on a team that is still alive that round.
- New decisions every round. Who is hot, who is healthy, who has the matchup -- you answer those questions four separate times instead of once.
- A shrinking player pool. Each round's pool is smaller than the last, so every draft is competitive, not a formality.
- Elimination. The lowest scorers are out after each round, like the real playoffs. The field goes 12, 8, 4, 2.
- A short commitment. Playoffs only, about five weeks -- not a full-season grind.
Who It Is For
Redraft Reaper is for fantasy players who want the drafting and roster-building part of the game during the playoffs, when most leagues are already over. It is a skill-based game with a flat usage fee and no cash prizes -- just bragging rights.
